Sericea lespedeza (Himalayan bushclover) - Lespedeza cuneata
The map below shows where sericea is the most aggressive, but it is
found elsewhere, too (as land managers in New York could
tell you!)
Lespedeza was originally spread widely be people for use as
forage, erosion control, and as a green manure. It spreads rapidly
because of the large amount of seed it produces. It has been declared
a noxious weed in some areas, meaning it is illegal to grow!
