Mosaic viruses are caused by a wide range of viral pathogens in a number of different families including Potyviridae, Geminiviridae, Bromoviridae, Comoviridae, Avsunviroidae, Tombusviridae, Rhabdoviridae, Flexiviridae, Tobamoviridae, Tymoviridae, Bromoviridae, and Caulimoviridae.
