The fourlined silverfish has a flat body about 5/16 inch (8 mm) long and is mottled grayish-brown in color. It has 4 dark lines running down the back. Food habits are the same as for silverfish. They can be found both inside and outside and in moist or dry environments. Silverfish have long life cycles ranging from 3 to 24 months from egg to adult. These insects can live up to 7 years.
