Common names of this fungus include the Netted Rhodotus as well as Wrinkled Peach. It appears to be a saprobe living on dead, wet, well-decayed deciduous hardwoods. It may grow singularly or in groups. Its distinctive reddish to pinkish cap may display an elaborate network of ridges on its surface.
