Saprobe. Can be found on decaying hardwood and conifer logs and branches throughout the year. Fungus can dehydrate and rehydrate. Multiple common names including Tree Ear, Jelly Ear, Wood Ear, Cloud Ear and Judas' Ear to name a few.
