Description:
Ganoderma lucidum (Curt.: Fr.) P. Karst. is a common cause of decay in Albizia lebbeck broadleaf trees. Conspicuous fruit bodies are produced at the base of colonized trees or on the ground beneath them, particularly during spring and summer. Colonized trees are often unhealthy and die subsequently. G. lucidum is as a likely cause of disease and decline in mostly mature trees.
