1. Register NOW for the upcoming EIN2008 Workshop!

REGISTRATION CLOSES on September 5th!! If you want to attend this next
Eastern Invasives Network workshop in Silver Beach, Virginia on October 7-9,
be sure to register soon! If you are a speaker, serve on the planning
committee, and even if some of us know that you are coming, you must still
register so that we can account for your food and lodging accommodations.

2. WIMS training session following the EIN2008 workshop

If you are interested in attending the optional WIMS workshop on Friday
(October 10), you must let us know on the registration form. Pre-training
downloads and information are available in the posted document "Information
for optional WIMS training session" located here

3. EIN2008 Homework Reminder

If you are attending EIN2008, consider this message as your first reminder
to complete your homework assignment (which can be downloaded at
http://tncinvasives.ucdavis.edu/networks.html). The homework is intended to
prepare you for our breakout sessions during the workshop. We are trying a
new format for this workshop - having lots of small group discussions to
encourage active engagement and learning, rather than lots of PowerPoint
presentations. Finish your homework to prepare you to come and chat!

4. EIN2008 Carpool information

As we approach EIN2008, please send us your travel information once it has
been arranged. We will send a compiled list of folks carpooling from the
Norfolk airport as well as from folks driving from elsewhere. If you need a
ride or can offer a ride, please let us know and we will post this
information for everyone!
