Description: Sand Pine Root Disease. Typical sporophores (conks) of Inonotus circinatus (Fr.) R.L. Gilbertson at the base of a mature tree. This is one of a complex of fungi (Inonotus circinatus, Phytophthora cinnamomi, Phaeolus schweinitzii, Verticicladiella procera, Armillariella tabescens, Heterobasidion annosum) that cause Sand Pine Root Disease.
