Descriptor: Symptoms
Description: An emerging disease condition of potato. Devastating in northern Mexico and the southwestern US. The disease is known as "zebra chip" or "papa rayada". It is either produced by a phytoplasma or by the effects of the toxicogenic saliva of the potato/tomato psyllid (Bactericerca cockerelli). Taken near Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico on July 5, 2004
