Jody Fetzer has worked over 20 years in public gardens including the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and the New York Botanical Garden. She was Plant Health Manager (2003-2007) at The New York Botanical Garden--a 240 acre National Historic Landmark with 48 different gardens extensive plant collections and 85,000 sq.ft. under glass.
Jody’s roots are in the Midwest where she obtained her Master of Science degree in Plant Pathology from the University of Minnesota while working as an entomologist in the Dial U call-in diagnostic clinic. After graduating, she became the Plant Health Coordinator at the 1,000- acre Minnesota Landscape Arboretum & University Horticultural Research Center where she worked for 14 years.
Jody has taught classes for Master Gardeners, volunteers, garden docents and students attending the NYBG School of Professional Horticulture.
From 2008 to 2014 she was Garden supervisor / Plant health specialist at Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens in Washington, DC. Currently, Jody is Green Management Coordinator for Montgomery County Parks in Maryland.
